1. Cleanse your skin twice a day with a gentle cosmetic. Preferable an antibacterial one, that regulates the sebum secretion. If you have oily and sensitive skin, you may like to use a cleanser for sensitive skin instead. Cleaning the skin in the evening is essential to get rid of dust and pollution that accumulates on the skin surface during the day, while in the morning the cleanser will remove skin metabolism substances. Avoid products that contain a lot of alcohol - it will lead to further sebum production and skin may shine even more after a treatment with alcohol-based cleanser.

2. Use a light moisturizer cream - chose one that will not clog your pores up. It is very important to moisturize the skin - it can be lack of proper hydration even if it produces sebum.

3. Exfoliate the skin regularly in order to get rid of dead skin cells and make you complexion fresh and soft. When you remove dead cells, your skin can breathe better, so as a result, it will be healthier and the skin colour will be brighter. You can exfoliate the skin even 2-3 times per week if you use not a very invasive scrub / peeling cream. You can use a natural loofah as well.

4. If you like homemade treatments and if you have some spare time, you may like to clean your skin with oatmeal. Oatmeal mask will make your skin fresh and supple in a matter of minutes.
How to prepare oatmeal cleanser mask:
put a tablespoon of oatmeal in a small container (like a coffee cup) and pour a little bit of boiling water (it should cover the oatmeal). Then leave it for about 10 minutes to cool. In the meantime, the oatmeal should grow soft and become a sticky pulp. You can use it to gently cleanse and exfoliate your skin.


What to do to shine less?

On the market, there are a lot of different cosmetics that allow you to shine less during the day.
For example, you can use tissues, which will remove excessive sebum from your face. You may use very soft cosmetic tissues or special oil-control paper (Shiseido and other brands) available in cosmetic stores. These oil-absorbing sheets (often powder-coated) will eliminate excess sebum and shine. As a result, skin remains refreshed and matte. To get rid of sebum, simply press the tissue against the skin for a few seconds. After, you may apply a bit of powder (advisably a mineral one) on you face that will absorb new oil produced by your skin.

To have healthy complexion, remember also that it is essential to sleep about 8 hours per day (when you sleep your skin regenerates) and to care about the proper body hydration - do not forget do drink 1,5-2 liters of pure mineral water per day.
